Finding Forrester

Hello world, this is my 2nd movie review :),tonight i wanna review "Finding Forrester" movie.

Newcomer Rob Brown plays Jamal, a basketball star at his Bronx high school who is a secret intellectual on the side. His bedroom walls (in his mother's brick tenement high-rise apartment) are stacked with books by Kierkegaard, James Joyce, and other highfalutin Lit class favorites. But on the street "all he talks about is basketball," while his gray matter goes undernourished at school.
Enter Sean Connery as William Forrester, the neighborhood's local crackpot recluse. Called "The Window" by Jamal and his pals, he hasn't left his apartment in longer than anyone can remember. He just watches people with binoculars out his window day after day, occasionally receiving deliveries from a Manhattan yuppie driving a gold BMW.
The two meet when Jamal's buddies dare him to climb the fire escape and sneak into Forrester's living room while he's sleeping. The budding writer discovers bookshelves full of common interests before being so startled by Forrester coming out of the shadows that he drops his backpack and runs out the front door.
After finding his backpack tossed in the street and the journals inside marked up in red pen with corrections and questions, an intrigued Jamal braves another trip to the old man's flat, and slowly an antagonistic friendship and mentorship forms.
It turns out that Forrester is a prestigious writer -- a fact Jamal discovers when his off-the-chart aptitude test scores and his skills on the court land him a scholarship to an exclusive private school. Forrester's singular book is assigned reading in a high-brow writing class, taught by a bitter, pompous professor (F. Murray Abraham), who, of course, is skeptical of Jamal's literary gifts.
The film's respectable plot revolves around Jamal and Forrester, who bond during after-school writing sessions in Forrester's dusty apartment. The film's hackneyed conflict arises when Jamal is accused of plagiarism by the snooty prof who recognizes the influence of Forrester -- an old rival -- in his student's entry in The Big Writing Competition. Honoring his oath of secrecy to his tutor, Jamal finds his school career in jeopardy.
Connery is perfectly cast as the quarrelsome egghead Forrester, who plods around his musty, hardback-lined pad in a frumpy sweater, pajama bottoms and slippers, spouting quotable insights like, "No thinking! That comes later. You write your first draft from the heart!"
Sixteen-year-old Brown, a first-time actor, more than holds his own against his luminary co-star, lending both street cred and contemplative, discerning cognition to the movie's appealing young hero. Van Sant clearly recognizes the pedestrian nature of this story because he sidesteps several clichés that rear up throughout. The petulant reigning hoops hero at Jamal's new school does not become a lame rival. The pretty, rich schoolmate (an alluring Anna Paquin) who flirts with Jamal in front of her disapproving daddy doesn't turn into an interracial romance subplot. There's little time spent on how Jamal's Bronx pals feel snubbed by his newfound, brainy interests.

This all comes as quite a relief, but at the same time one has to wonder why Van Sant set up these potential story detours if he wasn't planning to follow them anywhere....

Please Forgive Me I Can't Stop Loving You :')

Song Tittle : Please Forgive Me
Singer        : Bryan Adams

Assalamualaikum Wr.Wb..

Hello world.this is my 2nd music review, now i wanna review a love song, haha this sounds very old song but never mind this is very very romantic song and i wanna review this song.
The tittle is "Please Forgive Me" popularized by Bryan Adam .This song tell us about man who very very love someone. He tried to convince someone that he loved with sincerity. In my opinion this song tell about "Unrequited Love" sounds very sad.

This is part of the lyric :

So if I love ya a little more than I should
Please forgive me I know not what I do
Please forgive me I can't stop lovin' you
Don't deny me
This pain I'm going through
Please forgive me
If I need ya like I do
Please believe me
Every word I say is true
Please forgive me I can't stop loving you

Oh my god the lyrics are very touching "hehe".Look like someone he loved very ignorant of him until he is seen pleading with a very hopeful, that is why i say this song tell about unrequited love. So,why i review this song? This is my answer,i review this song because i really like this song and this song is same with my condition now " this is sad ".At first i think this song tell about a man who apologized for the mistake but after i listened to many times and i sink in, i can finally conclude the story of this song according to my feelings " haha".Because of this song,i want to shout "BELIEVE ME" to someone who still doubt the feelings of a man who is very sincere "hahaha".Now,let see the other lyric of this song :

It still feels like our first night together
Feels like the first kiss and
It's gettin' better baby
No one can better this
I'm still hold on and you're still the one
The first time our eyes met it's the same feelin' I get
Only feels much stronger and I wanna love ya longer
You still turn the fire on
So If you're feelin' lonely.. don't
You're the only one I'd ever want
I only wanna make it good

After see this lyric " It still feels like our first night together " i think that someone he loves is his wife, but i dont know the truth because only the creator of this song was the one who knows the true meaning of this song.:) i only can share my opinion about this song. What i get from this song is about a man hopes to convince someone he loves that he love "her" so much although someone he loves did not respond but he would keep trying to convince that he really loves "her" so much  :)."Because "Man" had to choose and fight for what he choose and believe that it is the best for him."

Oke world maybe this can give inspiration to anyone who read this.Wassalamualaikum Wr.Wb

Find what i love? yeah i'll try.

After read the speech of steve jobs, there are some things i learned.what?

First,
Of the first verse of steve jobs speech i got a lesson about connecting the dots.what i learned ?
as Steve Jobs say " Again, you can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future. You have to trust in something — your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever. This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life"
Now i know that we are not able to assemble our destiny,we just have to live our lives and do the best in everythings that we experience today and future.

Second,
In the second story of steve jobs speech,he said "Sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick. Don't lose faith. I'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that I loved what I did. You've got to find what you love. And that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers. Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. And, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on. So keep looking until you find it. Don't settle."

From the story above ,i can draw the conclusion that we must find what we love if we wanna be a succes person without forgetting the failure and loss, why ? because failure to do something or loss something can make us keep thinking to find ways to be able to rise and do the best for everything.like a part lyric of "i want to spen my lifetime loving you" : heroes rise, heroes fall, rise again win it all.(yeaaah).

And the last "DEATH" ( oh wow that sounds scary.
What steve jobs said  on his story about death is very true.why?because i have the same experience with him. When i was kid im very afraid of the "DEATH" word but now im not afraid anymore to hear "DEATH" that there are now only shame.why?because i have not do my best on everything.I was just having fun without thinking about how much longer i will live and now i realize that is my biggest and stupid mistake.
Now i promise to do my best on everything in my life. :)

and this is it "what i love ?" yeah i find it.I love to make my friends smile. Why? Because if  i see my friends smile,i would feel happy and if  my friends smile because of  me, that is mean they love me and they also love what i do for them. :) hehe

Movie Review

Movie title : Music and Lyric

Genre : Romantic comedy

OST    : Way Back Into Love by Hugh Grant and Haley Bennet

Alex Fletcher (Hugh Grant) is a former pop star. As one of the founding members of the band PoP!, he enjoyed considerable fame and success during the 1980s and early 1990s. Fifteen years after PoP! disbanded, Fletcher is a self-acknowledged has-been, reprising his 80's hits for audiences of his now middle-aged fans. After years of performing in increasingly humiliating venues (such as high school reunions and theme parks), a chance to recapture some of his former stardom arrives when mainstream pop singer Cora Corman (Haley Bennet) asks him to write a duet to be called "Way Back into Love" for her. To Alex's dismay, however, he has only a few days to compose the song. Furthermore, he hasn't written anything in ten years, and even with his old band PoP! he usually only wrote the melodies, not the lyrics. His manager (Brad Garrett) helps him to search for a lyricist, without much luck.

Alex meets Sophie Fisher (Drew Barrymore) when she comes to his house to water his plants. Sophie is a former creative writing student reeling from a disastrous romance. She is also a writer with little confidence in her abilities. While Alex and a hired lyricist try to come up with words, Sophie comes up with words to herself while watering the plants. Alex requests Sophie's assistance on the song, and although she initially declines, after a series of conversations with him, she agrees to collaborate. There are signs of a budding romance as the two write the song, which they finish in three days. Soon, Sophie runs into her ex-lover Sloan Cates, who wrote a very insulting book about her. Alex assists Sophie in trying to confront him. They go back to Alex's house and make love under the piano.

All seems well when Cora likes the song and decides to perform it and put it on her next album. However, Cora adds a highly sexualized,"Steamy and sticky" Indian-themed vibe which clashes with the spirit of Alex and Sophie's work. Sophie is determined to talk Cora out of the addition, only to find Alex vetoing her efforts for fear he will lose the chance to work with Cora and finally revive his career. In the ensuing argument, Alex reveals a deep pessimism towards the music business, admitting that Cora's addition is awful but viewing it as the cost of doing business. Scandalized by Alex's willingness to demean his talent and hurt by his argument that she is refusing to live in the real world, Sophie leaves him.

Cora invites Alex and Sophie to the first concert on her new tour, at which she and Alex are due to premiere "Way Back into Love." However, to Sophie's surprise, Cora announces "a new song by Alex Fletcher", and she begins to leave, under the impression that Alex stripped her of her songwriting credit. Alex instead performs an entirely new song ("Don't Write Me Off") written by himself about his and Sophie's relationship, despite his admitted incapability to write lyrics. Alex tells Sophie backstage that he convinced Cora to remove the risqué Indian-music-theme of "Way Back into Love" as an attempt to "win her back". The original version of the song is performed by the two (Alex and Cora), after which Alex and Sophie kiss backstage.
" I like this movie because the story is very unique and memorable, emotion in this film can bring me into the atmosphere in the story. I can feel how disappointed shopie when Alex force in every way that he makes up his lyrics but I also can feel how happy shopieat the end of the story."

Song Title : A WAY BACK INTO LOVE
Singer : Hugh Grant and Haley Bennett
Genre   :  POP

This is the first verse of this song

I’ve been living with a shadow overhead
I’ve been sleeping with a cloud above my bed
I’ve been lonely for so long
Trapped in the past
I just can’t seem to move on

lyrics in verse 1 is so my favorite because I have in a condition like that.”I’ve been lonely for so long” hahaha x). the entire song is implied that there was a way back into love. even though I have not experienced or do not see a way back into love but I can understand any lyrics that are present in this song. this song is also very easy to enjoy by everyone because it was the pop genre, with the beautiful sound of piano makes us able to enjoy every lyric in this song. This song is included in the chart song that most played on my mobile phone music player.
And this is reff of this song

All I want to do is find a way back into love
I can’t make it through without a way back into love
And if I open my heart again
I guess I’m hoping you’ll be there for me in the end

I did not understand the lyrics but for some reason this is so mean when I hear it constantly. overall this song is a nice song to hear before sleep because the music can bring ussleepy haha. possible so that I can say about this song, I really like this song and I will continue to make this song the most frequently played songs in my handphone. :)
